I'm a Ski Bunny......
Last night Mr Darcy and I were invited over to my son and daughter-in-laws home for a terrific dinner and FHE. The meal was so delicious, BBQ ribs, baked potatoes, salad.... anyway after the meal, my son pulled out the WII fit (pronounced we fit) and told me that I needed to try some of the (I don't even know what to call them) experiences that are offered on said machine. Well, My cuz Heidi from Dunhaven Place did a blog about her Wii fit and after reading it, I vowed never to step foot on one. My boy convinced me that it wouldn't moan or groan when I stepped on it and I made him promise that it wouldn't announce my weight or anything so personal. There is a Ski experience on the balance portion of a Wii fit and as I skiied in my youth, (35 years ago), I said I would give it a try. The first time down the mountain I missed 9 gates and it took me forever. I was so embarassed, but only enough to insist that I try again. Well, by the end of the evening I was down to missing only one gate and feeling like I was ready for the Olympics. WAHOO! It was a great fun and the only thing missing was the wind in my face as I shusshed down the mountain. (Oh, reliving the glory days). Joe and Missy, thanks for the wonderful meal the great company, the time with my grandbaby and the walk down memory lane. On my next visit I might just bring my own fan to complete the skiing experience!

The Blessings just keep coming!
It has been brought to my attention that I neglected to post about my little tiny grandsons blessing and I wanted to rectify that. Tyler was blessed by his father (my son) who did a beautiful job. Joe had been joking about writing the blessing on little Tyler's bald head because he was so nervous he was afraid he would forget something. But he didn't and it went off beautifully. (May I interject here what a wonderful heavenly thing it is to see my handsome strapping son step forward with his own son and give him a name and a blessing. It is so indescribably spectacular to see my worthy son use priesthood authority to bless a child of his own, that feeling alone is what I think the Celestial Kingdom will feel like all the time.) We had so much family there to support Joe and Missy and little Ty and I am so grateful to them. We had a nice luncheon afterwards and we were able to visit with all the family that was there. There was one little glitch, my little Faisal got hold of the hose in the backyard and not only turned it on but squirted anyone that tried to take it away from. (Reminiscent of Faisal's Birthday) However, Joe very bravely walked through the water and was able to get it away from him. The only thing that would have made it perfect was if Wilf and Suzanne, Missy's parents had been able to attend but they are in Cambodia serving the Lord there. We felt of their great spirit as I know it was present. It was a truly great day and I am so proud of my little family. They truly make me look so good.

Another Graduation
We (my parents and I) went down to St George for a very quick overnight trip to attend Lindsay's Graduation from High School. We had a great time in that very quick 24 hours. We were so very proud of Lindsay and had a great time celebrating with her and her family. They were very gracious hosts and took everyone to Olive Garden after the graduation ceremony. Lindsay then went to Senior night at the High School where the parents of the graduates put on a not-to-be-believed Indiana Jones all night extravaganza. It was so incredible and Lindsay had a great time coming in at about 5 am. We are so grateful for the wonderful family we have been blessed with. Kudos to you Lindsay!

Another day in Paradise

It has been a little while since I last posted something so I wanted to update. There is not much to say except that we are finally getting a sprinkler system put in the back yard. At this point it is a mess with trenches everywhere. The trencher came and not only cut our phone line and our cable line, he also trenched 4 feet over on Debbies property and cut her cable line. It was quite exciting overall. Everything is back to working order and they are working on bringing Debbie's lawn back instead of trench lines. I know it will be great to have this done eventually and we won't have to worry about getting someone to water when we are gone, which seems to be all the time. Here are some pictures of the yard in better times.
