Click, Click, Click, There's No Place Like Home

Man, I know you hear it from time to time but the truth of the matter is, There IS no place like home.
Home is where you kick back in your casualness and eat things that are probably not particularly good for you. You sing into your hairbrush as if you belong on American Idol. You dance, you jump, you act as if you are 12 again. You belch without a single excuse me, you talk on the phone or scrapbook or even mop your floor in only your unnawear. I love being home and just being me,
Yes Dorothy, there certainly is no place like home.

Isn't she lovely!

This is my beautiful daughter 'Sissy', this is a blurry picture of her and still you can see she is a beauty. She doesn't really look like me or her father. She is glorious!

This is my daughter's amazing family! I do not have the vocabulary to do them justice with just words! They transcend all descriptions. I am very blessed!

This girl has the most tender and loving heart, her brothers are very fortunate as she loves their little ones as her own and cares for them whenever asked!

This girl has a creative side to her that allows her to bring joy to others lives. She has a gift!

This girl puts countless hours into her family, her friends, her commitments to others. She has given other people's daughters a safe haven and increased their self-confidence ten fold helping them develop their talents!

This girl has endured hardships that most of us couldn't comprehend, taken many direct hits to protect the unprotected, cared for those that needed her compassion. This girl has the heart of a Warrior!

This girl loves her Father in Heaven and gives him her all, she trains her children to love him too.
This girl is my Hero!

One of my greatest hopes is to be worthy to have the title of 'her mom'. I am greatly blessed to have her be in my life and part of me. She is a huge reason why I KNOW my Heavenly Father loves me! He gave me her!

There is Beauty all around!

I watched this on a news channel the other day while on our trip across the Southern US and I was blown away. I also cried during the entire performance. I have seen it on others blogs and just wanted to make it available to everyone so that they might experience what the world has to offer. Thank you Susan Boyle for teaching me again that there truly is Beauty all around us. Click Here

Is anyone OUT there?

Ok, There seems to be a new trend running through the world of blogdom to have guest hosts on your particular blog. Well, having given this much belabored thought, I opted to ask someone that is not really a regular on my blog but has made occasional haphazard attempts on my blog within the past couple of months, to fill in for me as I am out of town more often then I am in.

That special guest host, would be ME!
I think that my irregular blogging habits qualify me as my own guest host.

Now having said that, I wanted to comment about this trend of guest hosting that has been running rampant amongst those of us here in blogdom. I find it fascinating that people have time to not only write on their own blogs but share thought, wit, and wisdom on someone elses blog. Please understand I am not being at all critical of those multitasking bloggers, I just find it amazing that I don't have the brain cells functioning to fill my own posts and yet they can fill theirs and others also. It's a quandry for me, I tell ya!

But I digress, I have enjoyed those guests posts that I read, but in a way I am also disappointed at not being able to read the thought and prose of the very ones that I have logged on to read. I do miss the witisicms (I don't know if that's a word) of the characters I have come to love.

Anywho, to those of you out there that embrace this habit of guest hosting, I say kudos to you and I can't wait for you to come back!

It's a road trip!

I have come to realize that there are a few truly fun things in this life: Disneyland, spending time with my family, mowing the lawn with our new riding mower and A ROAD TRIP!
Now, Mr Darcy and I have done more then our share of traveling over the past 6 weeks and I have to admit it has not always tickled my funny bone, but yesterday we traveled over 14 hours to Northern California with a couple of really fun friends and I came to realize just how joyful a road trip taken with someone other then family can truly be.

I haven't always been the greatest traveler, but yesterday was a very fun time. This couple that we were traveling with were nothing short of hilarious. I have never laughed so much in the car before. And probably the best part is that they need to stop to take care of personal business more then I do, so I never felt bad about saying that I needed to stop. True, it did take us a while longer to reach our destination, but I really didn't mind because it was so much fun!

I also am so thrilled to be here because we came for a Doctors appointment for Steve with one of the leading endocrinologists in the country. He is going to fix Steve's Diabetes and I can't wait to see him today with Steve. Dr Prendergast is an awesome person and I will keep you posted about that later on.

But in the meantime, have a joyful day, and laugh at least 12 times today.

What time did you say it was?

Today started for me 3 and a half hours ago and it is only 6:30 AM. What is the deal here. I am more then in need of a few good hours of shut-eye and yet I sit here looking through blood shot eyes at the screen of my computer.

I guess there is something to be said about not sleeping, I have already mopped the kitchen floor, put dinner in the crockpot, made rolls for dinner and cleaned up the kitchen. I also made 3 more invitations for a shower that the neighborhood is giving for my dear friends daughter-in-law. On top of that I have eaten 4 (yes you read that correctly) cupcakes that were just sitting there calling out to me. It is funny what you hear at 4:00 in the morning.

My, my, my, what a busy little gal I have been so far today. The problem, as I see it, is not that I am awake at this very early hour but that I will eventually have to make up this lack of sleep later on today when the world and everyone else expects me to be bright eyed and bushy tailed.

Oh well, I am listening to the weather and apparently there is yet another winter storm expected today and I can't think of a better thing to sleep through. So until later, (much later) good night er I mean morning!
