Weekend Getaway
Well as anyone who has been around me the past couple of months can attest I have been very vocal about the lack of Spring in our neck of the woods so I joined my sister siblings and our daughters in a weekend in Phoenix. It was not only warm, it was in bloom. Flowers were everywhere and it rejuvenated my winter soul. It was a long drive there but we visited and ate junk and made it as comfortable as possible. We stayed in a beautiful golf resort as you can see by the pictures and basically did what we wanted. Several of us caught up on our reading and played games. Their was also a temple session and many meals eaten out. We also got to go down to Tucson to go to church with Tara and her family and had dinner with them after. It was an all around great time and we appreciate very much Janeth for setting it up and getting the condo.
Our Family has Grown by Two Feet
I am very excited to announce the addition of our newest family member. Little Addie was born on the 20th of April, just a couple of days away from her dad's birthday. What a great present she was for all of us. The Baldwin girls were in Phoenix over that weekend and we were able go home by way of Las Vegas and stopped to see our beautiful new baby girl. I know that everyone will think I am biased but I truly am not, she is about the most gorgeous little girl I have ever seen.( she ranks right up there with Sienna, Taelynn, and Ana) We are the most fortunate of families.

The Happiest Place On Earth!
Well, it has been a few days since the last entry and since then we managed to fit in a trip to California for some business meetings. We were able to enjoy great weather and the ocean as we were staying very close to the beach. We also went over to Balboa Island and took a ferry over to the pier. It was just at Sunset and it was beautiful. But the icing on the cake for me was the trip to Disneyland! We had great weather and it wasn't too terribly crowded. I love the atmosphere there and could just sit and soak it all in. We did go on a few rides but the most amazing thing of all is that I am now the proud owner of a Disneyland Annual Pass! I never in my wildest dreams ever thought that I would have one of those, and yet I do! I am so excited to own one.

Music!
It is a new day and I am so smart, I figured out how to add music to my blog. I am proud of myself (aren't you Nic?) at least I think I added music. If anyone visits this, let me know if the music is actually there. Everyone thinks that blogging is fun and I must admit, I think so too. I added this great picture of my sis's that was taken at a little cabin retreat arranged by sister Janeth back in May (I think) of 2007. We had a wonderful time and it is something I would recommend to everyone. It is just a little refresher and helps to clean out the cobwebs. We are waiting patiently for grandbaby number 7, Nic and Krista's little Adelaide, to arrive. We love adding to the family and my kids have been very cooperative this year. Each of the boys and their beautiful wives have contributed to the gene pool. (Jenny is off the hook as she has already contributed the bulk of the grandbabies single handedly). How wonderful it is to be part of a family. You are the harmony in my life's song and I could not be more proud of any of my eight beautiful kids. (Jenny, Chris, Ryan, Amy, Joseph, Missy, Nic and Krista) I also am so grateful for a husband I love dearly, that is not only handsome but talented and Patient with me. I am truly blessed!

What a Weekend
Well another General Conference weekend has come and gone and it was splendid. I was a little sad to have to miss the Saturday Afternoon Session and the Sunday morning session as we were traveling but we did get the first session and the fourth session and they were inspiring. It gave me a little introspection time and I have decided to make some changes to the way I deal with people. After all, if you don't learn from them why listen. They were awesome. I have also decide to read the Book of Mormon between this conference and the next one, anyone that wants to join me I would be glad to have you.

Love to Travel
Well, it appears that we do love to travel. We were in St George the beginning of this week for a couple of days and right now I am sitting in a hotel room in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It was a very uneventful drive but the weather was beautiful and springlike and if you know me at all you know I have been impatiently waiting for spring. I love traveling with the hubby (Steve) as he is stuck in the car with me and so he and I can really get into some great conversations. Gas was a little cheaper here, we only paid $3.18 a gallon, hey that is better then the $3.25 we paid at home.
Well we are about to go out to eat with some business associates so I will sign off now, later.

Hi and welcome to my blog,
I am a novice and in so stating have no idea what I am doing creating a blog or why I am doing it, I suppose it is because, it is there and I can. I have been told that it is the thing to do, well I don't know about that but I do love visiting the blogs of two of my wonderful children. Which now that I have brought them up I must tell you that I have four of the most amazing children that were ever placed on the planet. I also have had the privilege of being married for 33 years to a most patient and caring husband. And the icing on the cake is the 6 fantastic grandbabies (with two on the way). My life is good, and as the name of my blog implies "happiness is a choice" and it is my choice. I am happy!
